The City of Canby is hosting its second open house to discuss future long-range planning efforts in the community later this month.
The city has been working on housing and economic opportunity analyses over the last year, and is inviting residents, business owners and community organizations are invited to learn more about the future growth in Canby.
The city is working with two consultants, FCS Group and 3J Consulting, to complete the plans.
Both the housing and economic assessment analysis work has been grant-funded by the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development, which has provided insight and expertise to the planning efforts to ensure the plans adhere to local and state requirements.
City officials said the housing and economic opportunity analyses will inform the city’s comprehensive plan and transportation systems plan updates, which will begin later this winter.
The open house will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, in the the Canby City Council Chambers at 222 Northeast 2nd Avenue.
