Celebrate Molalla, Apple Festival on Tap Downtown

The annual Celebrate Molalla festival is on tap in downtown Molalla this weekend, coinciding with the Molalla Heritage Apple Festival.

The event will fill the streets of Molalla with more than 100 food trucks and other vendors, including Bayou Bros Cajun Boils, Brandel Baked Goods, Ebner’s Custom Meats, Garage Coffee, Getta Gyro, Olivia’s Bakery, Rockin’ Latte, Sweet Thangs, 12 Bridge Cider Works, Colton Winery and Wooden Shoe Winery & Beer.

The street fair will stretch south from 3rd Street to the Molalla Museum Complex where the Apple Festival will be staged.

“We will be having a car and tractor show and all sorts of vendor and food booths,” explained Mayor Scott Keyser. “Council President (Leota) Childress started this a few years back, and it has gotten bigger every year.”

The event is sponsored by the City Of Molalla and local business community and will also feature artists, artisans, fine hand-crafted items, antiques and community service organizations.

It will also include a petting zoo, kids’ crafts. The event runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.

Registration for the car show is $5, with proceeds benefiting the Molalla Veterans’ Memorial. For more information about the show, contact Jeff Cohen at 503-349-6015.
