After its most successful summer in many years, the Canby Farmers Market has expanded to a new location — and new season.
The brand-new Canby Winter Farmers Market opened Saturday for its first week outside the Canby Pioneer Chapel Performing Arts. It will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for six more Saturdays — through Dec. 19.
“We wanted to offer something holiday for the community and a winter market seemed just that,” said Canby Farmers Market organizer Alexis Purcell. “Still safe and outside but fun.”
The market is staged on North Elm Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue — as well as in the event tent on the grounds of the Canby Pioneer Chapel.
“Mimosas will be served, and a few great distilleries,” Purcell said. “We’ll also have food trucks, produce, holiday decor, gifts and more!”
Almost 40 vendors have signed up for the new winter market, including (just to name a few) Red Chair Farm, Urban Cowgirl, 503 Distillery, Boho Wild Creations and The Pastry Smith.
