Two Injured in Multiple-Vehicle Crash at Barnards and Dryland near Canby (Photos)

Two people were injured in a multiple-vehicle crash near Canby Monday evening.

Canby Fire District and Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene of the injury crash at the intersection of South Barnards Road and Dryland.

The sheriff’s office reported that two adults were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the collision was caused when the driver of an Amazon delivery van failed to stop for a stop sign as a white Chevrolet pickup truck was passing through the intersection.

Twisty Dryland Road has acquired a reputation for serious and even deadly crashes in recent years, and the intersection with Barnards has seen its share. There have been multiple fatal crashes there, including one last September that resulted in two dead.

Calls for additional safety measures have increased, including that the intersection be signalized or turned into a four-way stop.
